REGULAR MEETING
FEBRUARY 16, 2011
Members Present: Terry Wright, Robert Zalobsky, Cindy Olson, Monica Ashton.
Members Absent: Dennis Long, Shawn Kraycs, Duane Brooks.
Others Present: Mike Ingalls, Doug Baum.
1. Supervisor Wright called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.
2. Correspondence: (No action required) A. Fire Department Activity Report for January. B. Building Department Report for December/January. C. Constable reported that the Ole Barn owners have their food, dance and entertainment license.
3. Motion by Zalobsky, second by Olson, to approve the minutes of January 19, 2011 as presented. Ayes, four; Nays, none; Absent, three. Motion carried.
4. The Treasurer’s Report for January 2011 was viewed and placed on file.
5. Citizens Who Wish To Speak: Doug Baum, Grayling City Manager, informed the Board that Albert Township (Lewiston) has a 1,000 gallon E-1 1988 pumper truck for sale for $10,000. The truck is fully equipped and could replace the pumper loaned to us by South Branch Township. The Township’s share would be $5,000.00.
Motion by Ashton, second by Olson, to amend the2010-11 General Fund and Township Improvement Fund Budgets to allow transfer of $5,000.00 Township Improvement unreserved funds to the General Fund Fire department improvement projects for the Township’s share to purchase 1988 E-1 1,000 gallon pumper truck from Albert Township. Ayes, four; Nays, none; Absent, three. Motion carried.
6. Motion by Olson, second by Zalobsky, to direct Supervisor to draft a resolution for a six month moratorium on establishment of commercial medical marijuana facilities to allow the community time to develop zoning standards. Ayes, four; Nays, none; Absent, three. Motion carried.
7. Supervisor discussed his proposed 2011-12 Fiscal Year General Fund Budget, by line item. It will be discussed again at the March 16, 2011 regular meeting and taken to public hearing the end of March.
8. Review of proposed changes to the Grayling Township Zoning Ordinance was postponed as some Board members did not have updated copies of the proposals.
9. Motion byAshton, second by Zalobsky, to approve payment of claims on vouchers 8596 through 8986, liquor inspections $240.00, Fire Dept construction loan quarterly payment $13,262.07, for a grand total of $47,042.84. Ayes, four; Nays, none; Absent, three. Motion carried.
10. Motion to adjourn by Olson, carried. Ayes, four; Nays, none; Absent, three.
