Supervisor Wright called the regular meeting of the Board to order at 7:20 p.m.
Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance.
1. Motion by Long, second by Kraycs to approve the minutes of November 9, 2005, as presented. All ayes, motion carried.
2. Treasurer’s report for November was distributed and placed on file.
3. Correspondence: (No action required) Chamber News-12/05, Recycling Report-10/05, Building Dept Report-10/05, FYI Burmeister regarding agreement with state military board, Info regarding Charter vs General Law Townships.
4. A Public Hearing regarding creation of a Special Assessment District to rebuild Ole Dam Road from Turner Trail to Nottingham Drive was held at 6:30 p.m. December 14, 2005. The estimated cost from the Crawford County Road Commission is $34,000.00. Questions were raised regarding the condition of the bridge, drainage and parking at the bridge, snowmobiles, signage and detours during construction.
Motion by O’Mara, second by Kraycs, to delay action on and extend the Public Hearing until issues of concern raised at the Public Hearing can be clarified. Property owners north of Turner Trail using Ole Dam Road for access will be notified by mail of new hearing date. All ayes, motion carried.
5. Public Hearings for Renewal of Special Assessment Districts for Private Road Maintenance have been scheduled for February 8, 2006. They are: South Horseshoe Trail; 6:15 p.m., Timber Trail; 6:30 p.m., Turner Trail; 6:45 p.m.
6. Motion by Long, second by O’Mara, to authorize Supervisor Wright to apply for 2006 Crawford County Environmental Grants for milfoil eradication and scrap tire clean up. All ayes, motion carried.
7. Motion by Long, second by Ashton, to adopt Social Security Number Privacy Policy in the format recommended by the Michigan Townships Association. All ayes, motion carried. (See Attachment “A”)
8. Motion by Long, second by Kraycs, to attach an addendum to the minutes of June 29, 2005, Special Meeting Item 5A clarifying transfer of excess unallocated fringe benefits from control accounts to departments. All ayes, motion carried.
9. Motion by long, second by Kraycs, to amend the 2005-06 General Fund Budget to allocate fringe benefit control accounts to various departments. All ayes, motion carried.
10. Motion by Long, second by Kraycs, to approve payment of claims on vouchers 3878, 3891-92, 3919-3958, Board & Comm. Fees $695.00, Liquor Insp. $120.00 for a grand total of $36,414.29. All ayes, motion carried.
11. Motion to adjourn, carried. All ayes. (8:15 p.m.)
