GRAYLING CHARTER TOWNSHIP BOARD REGULAR MEETING
APRIL 20, 2016

Members Present: Cindy Olson, JoAnn Michal, Rick Harland Duane Brooks, Bruce Zalobsky, Monica Ashton.

Members Absent: Dennis Long.

Others Present: Colin Hunter, Mike Ingalls, Bob Dixon.

1. Supervisor Harland called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.

2. Correspondence and Reports for March 2016 (No action required): Animal Conrol Report, Central Dispatch Report, Attorney Report, GFD Activity Report, Building Department Report.

3. Motion by Zalobsky, second by Michal, to approve minutes of March 16, 2016 as presented. Ayes, six; Nays, none; Absent, one. Motion carried.

4. Treasurerís Report for March was reviewed and placed on file.

5. Colin Hunter, candidate for Circuit Court Judge, was present to give background and answer questions.

6. Harland reported on the following: Arauco is working with MDOT and soil and erosion regulations. Utility Authorityís Pre-App for Sewer and Water is moving forward.

7. Planning Commission is beginning revision of the Zoning Ordinance.

8. Bob Dixon, Building Inspector, reviewed his monthly report and answered questions.

9. Motion by Brooks, second by Zalobsky, to continue Grayling Charter Township Board regular monthly meetings on the third Wednesday of each month beginning at 10:00 a.m. Ayes, six; Nays, none; Absent, one. Motion carried.

10. Motion by Olson, second by Brooks, to designate Financial Institutions within Crawford County as depositories for Township funds. Ayes, six; Nays, none; Absent, one. Motion carried.

11. Motion by Brooks, second by Zalobsky, to designate Richard Jaskowski, of Carey & Jaskowski, as Township Attorney for Fiscal Year 2016-17. Ayes, six; Nays, none; Absent, one. Motion carried.

12. Motion by Ashton, second by Olson, to designate Miller & Cook as Auditors of Township records for Fiscal Year. (Currently in three year agreement.) Ayes, six; Nays, none; Absent, one. Motion carried.

13. Supervisor announced that our Assessor, Cindy Reetz, has resigned and is taking a position with Antrim County. We are advertising for a new assessor.

14. Motion by Zalobsky, second by Brooks, to approve payment of claims on vouchers 13615 through 13545 and liquor inspections of $80.00, for a grand total of $73,797.12. Ayes, six; Nays, none; Absent, one. Motion carried.

15. Motion by Zalobsky, second by Brooks, to adjourn. (10:45 a.m.) Ayes, six; Nays, none; Absent, one. Motion carried.
