CHARTER TWP OF GRAYLING

January 9, 2008 Board of Trustees Special Meeting

Members Present: Dennis Long, Shawn Kraycs, Monica Ashton, Terry Wright.

Members Absent: Cynthia Olson, two vacant positions.

Others Present: Richard Jaskowski, Russell Strohpaul.

Supervisor Wright called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

Agenda: Grayling City/Township Fire Department-mutual fire protection

Motion by Long, second by Kraycs, to recess special meeting to convene executive session with Grayling Township Attorney, Richard Jaskowski and Fire Chief, Russell Strohpaul. Ayes, four; Nays, none; Absent, one and two vacant positions. Motion carried. (9:02 a.m.)

Motion by Ashton, second by Kraycs, to close executive session and re-convene special meeting. Ayes, four; Nays, none; Absent, one and two vacant positions. Motion carried. (9:25 a.m.)

Motion by Kraycs, second by Ashton, that based on the unwillingness of the City of Grayling to enter into a Mutual Fire Protection Agreement that allows joint administration and is agreeable to both parties, we hereby authorize Grayling Township Attorney, Richard Jaskowski, to file Complaint For Partition in the Circuit Court against the City of Grayling. Ayes; four, Nays, none; Absent, one and two vacant positions. Motion carried.

Motion to adjourn by Long, carried. Ayes, four; Nays, none; Absent, one and two vacant positions. (9:30 a.m.)
