GRAYLING TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES

MAY 29, 2007

1. Meeting called to order by chairperson Jansen at 7:00 p.m.

2. Pledge of Allegiance.

Hood asked to address the commission. “I think case #PC07-01SP is miss-named as I believe we will be reviewing a concept plan for approval or denial, which is required by the DNR before the sale of any DNR land per DNR letter dated June 13, 2006.

A full site plan approval will be required at a future date taking into account Article 19, Site Plan Review, Sections 19.01 thru 19.08, Article 14. Planned Industrial Districts, P.I., Sections 14.01 thru 14.06 and Article 15, Planned Commercial District, P.C., Sections 15.01 thru 15.05.

If a motion to amend the agenda is proper, I move to strike “Site Plan Review” and replace it with Proposed Concept Review. Support by DiPiono.

Roll call: Long; aye, DiPonio; aye, Jansen; aye, Cox; aye and Hood; aye. All ayes, motion carried.

3. Roll Call: Long, DiPonio, Jansen, Cox, and Hood. All present.

Guests: See attached list.

4. Motion by Long support by DiPonio to approve minutes of April 24,2007. Roll call: All ayes. Motion carried.

5. Case #PC07-01SP Proposed Concept Plan Petitioner: Mr. Patrick Crossan Main Street America, Inc. 222 Mainstreet South Rochester, MI 48307

Chairperson Jansen invited Mr. Crossan to present his plan. Mr. Crossan’s 35 minute power point presentation was received favorably by the Planning Commision and the audience. After a few questions Hood made a motion, supported by DiPonio to recommend approval of the Main Street America project to the DNR Real Estate Division for sale of the property. Roll call: All ayes. Motion carried.

6. Motion by Long, support by DiPonio to adjourn at 8:06. Roll call: All ayes. Motion carried.
