GRAYLING TOWNSHIP ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

Regular Meeting & Public Hearing July 18,2005

I. Meeting called to order 7:00 P.M. by Dale French

II. Roll call: Members present: French, Joyce, Jansen & Robson Absent: Greene Recording secretary: Terry Wright

III. Pledge of Allegiance

IV. Approval of minutes from 6-20-2005 meeting (No one has minutes) Bring to 8-15-2005 meeting.

V. PUBLIC HEARING

Chair calls case #05-05 Gary Evans

Gary Evans explains request.

Jansen: Property is on the canal, not on the mainstream. Setback is 100 feet , front variance is 16 feet, not 116 feet. Motion by Jansen ; Support by Robson to approve 05-05 with corrected language on setbacks as per 16.07B. All Ayes, one absent. Motion carried.

Logic of decision;

Jansen; 16.07B

Robson; 16.07 B - Pole building, no variance required.

Joyce; 16.07B

Case #05-06 Robert Bucholz

Mr. Bucholz explains request.

Jansen questions measurement from center of the road.

Mr. Bucholz asks to remeasure his property and return next month.

Motion by Robson; support by Jansen to table until 8-15-2005 Meeting. All ayes, one absent. Motion carried.

Case #05-07 De Busschere

Mark De Busschere explains request.

Jansen corrects request, no front setback required.

Motion by Jansen; support by Joyce to approve, no 107 foot setback needed. All ayes, one absent. Motion carried.

Reasons:

Jansen; 23.04 C.2.B Minimal rear, front justifiable based on applicants efforts to not enroach riverfornt. Joyce; 23.04 C.2.B

French;

Robson; 23.04 C.2.B

Jansen will be absent in August.

Motion by Joyce; support by Jansen to adjourn. All ayes, one absent. Motion carried.
