Summer taxes

Summer Taxes have been mailed. They are due September 16. You may pay in person, use our drop box, or mail to our PO Box 521, Grayling MI 49738. If you wish to pay with credit or debit card, click here. There is a 3% or $2.00 minimum fee for this service.

The assessor's office is continuing the physical inspection of properties to ensure fair and equitable assessments.They have picture ID's & the assessor's business card. If you have any questions you can call our office or the assessor.

THE STATE TAX COMMISSION RECOMMENDS THAT 20% OF PARCELS ARE PHYSICALLY INSPECTED EACH YEAR TO ENSURE FAIR AND EQUITABLE ASSESSMENT FOR ALL PROPERTY OWNERS. CERTIFIED INSPECTORS WILL HAVE PHOTO IDENTIFICATION, WILL NOT ASK TO ENTER INSIDE YOUR HOUSE, OR ASK FOR CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION. THEY MAY ASK QUESTIONS SPECIFIC TO FEATURES OF THE PROPERTY.
